Just a small idea that could well be added in the next update for Skyrim or The Elder Scrolls 6.
Lack Of Detailed Quest Journal In Skyrim
Many people complained about the lack of a true, detailed quest journal in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Well, why not letting us use ink, paper and feathers to write our own, personal diary?
Every inkwell would allow to write a certain number of characters. There would be recipes for coloured inks and quality papers.
The player could buy an empty journal and write his quest stages himself.
By buying some paper charts, he could annotate the game map (like in The Elder Scrolls III: Tribunal).
He could also scribble some runes on an empty paper, use a minor soul gem, and create enchanted scrolls.
Those activities could account for a “calligraphy” perk tree, which would also allow to engrave runes on armors and weapons to endow them with additional properties, or to draw runic tattoos on some warriors’ skins, to help them in battle.
What do you think?
