Skyrim For Xbox One and PS4

What if a Game of the Year edition Skyrim is also set for PS4 and Xbox 720?

Skyrim with new DLC on PS4, Xbox One?

So let’s say in the next few months there will be a new DLC, and then sometime from November 2013 to March 2014 a Game of the Year edition of Skyrim is released, bundled with all of the DLC, with graphics settings equivalent to Ultra PC settings, as well as all of the official Bethesda HD Texture Pack mods, for the Playstation 4 and Xbox 720.

Would you buy it? Or would you rather buy a GOTY Skyrim on current generation version instead?

Or would you refuse to buy the game a second time, even though a next-gen version would improve the visual fidelity (perhaps because graphics don’t bother you in the slightest)?

We think most people interested in the game already have it, they aren’t going to want to shell out for it a second time just for fancy graphics.

Add to that, when you buy a new console, a lot of people prefer to get a new game too. Not a two year old one that’s been tarted up.

Plus there’s also the fact that Bethesda ha the majority of it’s people on the next big project.

We really can’t see how it’s feasible financially for them to do this, not to mention the game would essentially have to be rebuilt for the console versions in order to incorporate those new graphics, they were originally done with a specific set of hardware specs in mind.

And redoing them to increase the graphics that far would take a fair bit of work.

Still, let us know what you think.
